This disclaimer details the obligations of Horizons - The association for former HSBC employees ('The Association') to you regarding the website.  Please read this disclaimer in full before you use this website. 4.1.   We take all reasonable steps to ensure that this Website is available 24 hours every day, 365 days per year.  However, websites do sometimes encounter downtime due to server and, other technical issues. Therefore we will not be liable if this website is unavailable at any time.

7.1.   The Association cannot accept any legal responsibility for the accuracy of any advertisements or other content appearing on this website or any linked website or for the acts or failures of any advertiser or other party appearing or referred to on this website or any linked website. Advertisements appearing on this website or ay other linked website are displayed in good faith and the Association does not represent or have any legal responsibility for the existence or performance of any goods or services offered; and you should exercise normal care.  Advertisers may have their contact details, including email addresses, displayed with their advertisement, at their own risk.  The advertisers shall warrant

  • that the advertisements are accurate and fair;
  • that the advertisements to not include unlawful content or other prohibited content; and

7.2.   The Association reserves the right to suspend the publication of an advertisement on its website where it reasonably determines that the content breaches the warranties.

8.     Communications by email

Periodically we may contact our members by email with information that we think will be of interest to them.  Members may opt out of receiving these emails or otherwise withdraw consent by returning a reply with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line or by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in the email.

Members may at any time change their contact preference by logging on and going to the Contact Preference page accessible from the Membership page.

9.      LAW AND JURISDICTION

This Disclaimer Notice shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Any dispute(s) arising in connection with this Disclaimer Notice are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
